Policies & Procedures

 

TUITION

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and is late after the 10th.  A $15 late fee will be applied to any tuition received after the 10th of each month.  If tuition is unpaid by the end of the month, an additional $5 fee will be applied, beginning the following month, each week tuition is unpaid.

  • Tuition remains the same whether the month has 3 weeks or 5 weeks.  Tuition for the last week of August is combined with September and considered 1 month's tuition.  Monthly tuition is an average based on the total number of classes offered throughout the dance year.  Some months will have more, some months will have less...monthly tuition remains the same. 

  • Tuition must be paid regardless of the student's attendance.  There are no refunds for tuition. 

  • Tuition credit is only given for two reasons: (1) medical disability or injury (proof required with notification prior to absence) and/or (2) pre-approved leave of absence (30 days prior notice for continuous absence of 3 weeks or more). 

  • Tuition may be paid by cash, check, credit, debit, or with Venmo at DanceConnection-FW.  Tuition may be paid in person or online.  You may also leave a credit card on file to be auto drafted between the 1st & 5th of each month.

  • There is a 3.5% processing fee for all credit card payments.

  • Always include the student's first and last name with payment.

ADDITIONAL COSTS & FEES

  • Registration Fee:  $35 per student (non-refundable) / $15 each additional family member (immediate family only).  Registration fee is non-refundable and applies to both new and returning students.  All students, both new and returning must fill out a registration form or update their existing information either online or in studio.

        *New students from Summer 2024 only owe $20 remaining portion of registration fee.

  • Late Fee(s):  A $15 Late Fee will be applied to any late tuition, late recital fee, late costume deposit, and/or late costume balances.  An additional late fee will be applied for every month a balance remains unpaid.

  • Returned Check Fee:  A returned check fee of $25 will be applied for each returned check.

  • Costume Deposit:  $50 per class (non-refundable).  Costume Deposits are non-refundable and are due with November tuition.  Individual costumes are typically $75-$95.  Classes with more than one dance subject will have more than one costume. Students must wear the assigned class costume to participate in recital.

  • Recital Fee:  $95 per student / $145 per family (non-refundable).  Recital Fee is non-refundable and is due with February tuitionRecital Fee is a completely separate fee from the costume deposit and/or costume balance.  The recital fee goes toward the facility rental, insurance, technical crew for sound and lighting, etc.

  • Costume Balance:  Remaining costume balance less deposit (non-refundable).  Costume balance is non-refundable and is due with April tuition.  A $5 late fee will be applied for every week the costume balance is past due.  Costumes are typically $75-$95.  Classes with more than one dance subject will have more than one costume. All accounts must be cleared (including June tuition) before costumes will be released.

  • DC T-Shirt:  $18 for Dance Connection T-Shirt.  DC T-Shirt is required for all students performing at Recital.                                            

ATTENDANCE / WITHDRAWAL

  • Attendance:  Regular class attendance is extremely important! Tuition must be paid regardless of the student's attendance. If you miss a class, you may be required to schedule a private lesson in order to be caught up before your next class. Please let us know in advance (if possible) if for any reason you will be unable to attend your class.

  • Withdrawal:  Tuition is due on a monthly basis from the time of enrollment until the end of the dance year.  Students will continue to be billed for tuition until a 30-day written notice, either by email or given to a DC staff member, of your intent to withdrawal.  Students who withdrawal must re-register if they decide to return.  

 

CLASS ATTIRE

All dancers are required to be appropriately dressed for dance class.  Please click on the "What To Wear" tab to view the appropriate class attire.

 

RECITAL PERFORMANCE

  • Recital:  Sunday, June 15, 2025 (Father's Day) - Will Rogers Auditorium 3:00pm

        Dress Rehearsal (mandatory)

Saturday, June 14, 2025 - Will Rogers Auditorium

        Every dancer must attend dress rehearsal in order to participate in recital.

Recital is not required; however, we strongly encourage all students to participate in this very special performance.

Students must be currently enrolled with their account in good standing in order to participate in the recital.

Students joining Dance Connection in the Spring are not guaranteed participation in the recital. Due to costume availability and other factors, students joining in the Spring may or may not be able to participate.

COSTUMES

Costumes are required for all dancers participating in the recital.  Costumes are typically $75-$95.  Classes with more than one dance subject will have more than one costume.

All accounts must be cleared (including June tuition) before costumes will be released.

In addition to costumes, a Dance Connection Tank-Top or T-Shirt is required for all dancers performing at Mayfest and/or Recital. 
 

IMPORTANT DATES / HOLIDAYS / STUDIO CLOSINGS / INCLEMENT WEATHER

We follow the same schedule as FWISD for inclement weather (closures & delays).

 

SOCIAL MEDIA

Photographs and/or videos of your child(ren) may be used in Dance Connection promotional ads, videos, website material, and other social media platforms.  These images will be used for Dance Connection purposes only and will not be given or sold to outside companies or individuals.  *Written notification required if you do not agree.

COMMUNICATION

We communicate important information via text messaging. Please make sure you provide the phone number(s) you wish to receive important information regarding your child's class, updates, closures, costumes and/or other important announcements.

Please make sure to additionally provide the contact information of the person who will be bringing your child to and from dance class, if this is not you.

Please make sure you update your contact information if it changes.

PRIVATE LESSONS

30-minute private lesson - $35
45-minute private lesson - $45      
*Ask about pricing for duet, trio, or small group private lessons.

24-Hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule.  For no-shows, a fee equal to the full amount of the lesson is assessed.

PERFORMANCE/COMPETITION CHOREOGRAPHY  (separate from dances learned in class)

All performance/competition choreography must be approved & scheduled through Miss Tiffany (Studio Director).

Pricing below is for choreography, music/music editing, and 6, 50-minute private lessons.  If more than 6 lessons are required, private lesson charges will apply.  Pricing does not include costume or competition fees.

Solo - $375 Duet - $550 Trio - $600

Small Group (4-7) - $850

 

TALENT SHOW GROUPS

Fun, exciting and unique routines! Six weeks, six lessons (one class/week) - $60 per child.

DANCE CONNECTION Warm-Up Suits, Tank Tops & T-Shirts

Available to order in fall & spring.  DC Tank-Tops & T-Shirts are usually in stock at the studio.
